Sex and the City – in Brisbane

The movie, the cocktails, the killer shoes, the attitude – it’s all here!

Carrie

Girls, this is your call to glorious, girly, sophisticated, fashion-inspired action. The much-anticipated Sex and the City – the movie is finally here, and that, girlfriend, is the perfect excuse to do a Carrie Bradshaw and frock up to the nines, indulge in decadent cocktails, and hit our city’s shopping and dining hotspots with a bunch of fun-loving girlfriends. Who needs New York?!

Do it in style

You could just pop down to your local cinema to catch this year’s hottest flick, or you could slip on your Manolos (if you’re lucky enough to own a pair), step out in high style and make it an event to remember.

Head to South Bank and indulge in one of the fantastic movie/accommodation or cocktail deals on offer from the super stylish Mantra South Bank and Stone Restaurant & Bar. Oh so SJP.

Sex and the (Brisbane) City

Take a leaf from the Bradshaw book of life – let Sex and the City inspire you to get out with your girlfriends more and have an indulgent day or night of girly fun.

Indulge that passion for fashion – strap on a pair of stilettos, grab your credit cards, and go shopping in the city. Yes, we know stilettos are not the best choice for extended strutting around the high streets, but if we’re doing a full-blown Carrie Bradshaw, style must always come before comfort. (And if, after seeing the movie, you simply MUST own a pair of Manolos, you’ll find them in Brisbane at Jean Brown in the Emporium.)

Imbibe fine wine or sophisticated cocktails in Brisbane’s best bars while you and your girlfriends solve the problems of the world (and trade info on the best eye-brow wax in town).

Or take time out for a gossipy lunch or dinner at a cool café or sophisticated restaurant.

And if you can’t be bothered heading out, get the girls over for a night of Sex and the City TV show re-runs (rent the DVD from your local video shop) laced with Cosmopolitan cocktails. So easy to make, so easy to drink!

After all, Manhattan doesn’t have a monopoly on the good (girly) life!
