Internationally distinguished Mozartian pianist Imogen Cooper’s elegant and insightful playing of this brightest of Mozart’s piano concertos will be a radiant treat.
Grieg’s incidental music to Henrik Ibsen’s national epic Peer Gynt is brilliantly orchestrated and perfectly captures the colour and raw excitement of Peer’s wild and sometimes raunchy adventures.
Mozart’s serenades originally provided a backdrop to the rustling of dancers and courtly affairs. The whispered gossip of Salzburg’s periwigged beau monde would have missed some of his most charming and original music, like the Serenata Notturna.
