Subscription tickets are now available for Queensland Ballet’s 2009 season, which was announced at QPAC on Monday 29 September 2008.
Artistic Director François Klaus has created a full and diverse program that features a new full-length production of A Streetcar Named Desire and concludes with the return of the classic ballet, The Sleeping Beauty, in addition to the popular annual events that showcase the strength, versatility, and fresh style for which the Company is so well reputed.
Being a Queensland Ballet subscriber has many advantages, with savings of up to 20% on regular prices and discount tickets to optional extra events. By getting in early, subscribers have access to the best available seats and also have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for family and friends before the general public.
Purchasers of season subscriptions can choose which productions they want to see according to their own taste, budget and diary, and have the choice of purchasing the Full Program Package or the Subscriber Choice Package.
The Full Program Package includes A Streetcar Named Desire, International Gala 2009, ...with attitude 2009, The Sleeping Beauty, and Vis-à-vis Studio Series at the Thomas Dixon Centre (3 performances).
The Subscriber Choice Package lets you tailor the subscription package as you wish by choosing three or more events from the list above.
This year, Queensland Ballet also has a special priority discount ticket offer for 2009 subscribers, for the exclusive Australian season of the Paris Opera Ballet at QPAC in June 2009.
With general public sales for Paris Opera Ballet opening on Monday 10 November, dance lovers will need to get in early with their Queensland Ballet subscriptions to secure the best seats for this special event.
